Grace has been doing all right lately. She has had a little bit of a sore throat and cold the past few days, which has been making her more irritable, more sleepy, more cuddly and even less willing to eat. So, it has its pros and cons. Other than that, not much interesting has been happening as of late.
I did go out of town last weekend. My sister and I traveled up to Idaho Falls to visit with my Mom. It was wonderful to get a break from Mothering, and to just have fun. However, I was not without numerous worries about Topher and Grace. He forgot to do her meds a couple of times, and I returned home with Grace on a very new sleeping schedule...its called one nap...an hour before bedtime, and then bedtime whenever she happens to pass out on your lap, (normally around 10:30). Thank you so much Topher!
Our Dr. appointment also didn't have anything new or interesting to say, just affirmed that yes, Grace has a sore throat and cold, but sorry, there's nothing to be done about it, the Drug Companies pulled all Infant Meds off the shelves, so, we've been just sitting it out, and its been ok so far.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. We are doing well, but if any of you are still willing to keep us in your prayers, please pray that Gracey will find the desire to eat once again. I know I joke about it, but it truly is such a battle with her. She will not eat, and what food I do get into her tummy is thrown up almost instantly nowadays. We have actually gotten to the point where it's not that she can't tolerate the food, and its not that she won't put anything in her mouth...She can tolerate it, and she'll put her binky, fingers and any toy in her mouth, but she will go ALL DAY never wanting a bit of food. If not for her feeding tube, this girl truly would starve to death.

She looks amazing!!! We continue to pray for her each night with Braska's bedtime prayers, that she continues to grow and be healthy.
We understand the eating. The description you gave of her preference and not caring about hunger is spot on with our situation. We've been there for about 22 months (that's not to scare you! we just have a stubborn one.) but I'll say that it has become ok, and though we know someday she'll eat, it's no longer a stress. She's growing and thriving, and that's good enough for now. She'll eat when she wants to, this one of mine. But then again, her dad still hates to eat, so maybe it's just in her genes. :o)

Hang in there with the eating thing. It truley has been one of the hardest things ever with Kaidence and in fact that has been my goal this week is to somehow find something she will eat, no luck so far. Like you said, kaidence will put everything in her mouth, just nothing edible and I am finding myself wanting to scream. It may make me crazy after all. Kaidence would starve as well without her g-tube.

Aww, sweet pics! I'm sorry her appetite is so difficult to deal with. 2 of my 3 girls have such little interest in food that it is indeed an uphill, very frustrating battle.
But add to that everything else you're dealing with, and I can only begin to imagine, but not fully, what a stress it all is for you.
Toph is so good to help out so much - and especially for all that time so you could have a break. That's the best thing a hubby can do - provide relief from the everyday stress of motherhood.
Plus you are so cooped up, so I'm really glad you got out for some fun :)

Yay for Gracie pics!! She is such a cutie pie!! I'm sorry she is a little bit sick and that she doesn't like to eat for you...such a stinker! We love you all anyways (even Topher who forgets to medicate her...tee hee hee)
oh boy do I feel for you guys. Eating is so hard we try everyday to get Teagan to even put a bottle near his mouth and it is a no go. We will keep praying for you guys, good luck and if you have any questions about the pukeing or anything else, email me and I can give you my phone number.

Just to let you know, we have been praying every day that she would re-learn eating. Wow! I have never had to do that before. I have never forgotten how to eat in my whole life. What a little doll.

We still pray for her nightly and the boys of course pray for her everytime they say a prayer.... our dinner prayers get kinda lengthy:) She's so cute Bugs... don't get hung up on pictures you don't like... you still need to take lots.
